'What We Do in the Shadows' is a refreshing and original comedy mockumentary about a group of vampires living together in Wellington. The mockumentary follows their day to day struggle with trying to survive in the modern world without coming into contact with sunlight. Three of the vampires are still fairly normal looking, but one inhuman vampire named Petyr looks like the 1922 Nosferatu and inhabits the basement, not speaking, living in a coffin and being fed by the others. After making friends with a mortal who starts to blab about their secret, the group must support each other whilst trying not to kill their friend.
It's very funny and very cleverly dry, a mighty change to the generic vampire films nowadays.
